Rebecca (Becky) Thurn received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota, Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Minnesota and a post-Master's Certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care from St. Peter's College in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

She started her career as a staff nurse in Cardiovascular ICU at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND. Since that time she has worked as a staff nurse in intensive care unit in St. Louis Park, MN, care of transplant patients at the University of Pittsburgh in the SICU, MICU at Englewood Hospital and currently for the past 13 years in the CSICU at Hackensack University Medical Center. She has also taught at nursing schools in Fargo, ND and Pittsburgh, PA. She worked at Helen Hayes Hospital as Assistant Director of Nursing of Specialty Care Units and as a Nurse manager of the MICU and Case Manager at Nyack Hospital.

She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and holds national certifications as CCRN & CSC from American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). She is a member of AACN, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, AANP and the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State of the Lower Hudson Valley.
