100% Survival after Coronary Bypass Surgery. Again.

As published by the state of New Jersey earlier this month: Englewood Cardiac Surgery once again achieved a 100% survival rate following coronary bypass surgery. This 0% mortality has been achieved at Englewood consistently over the last three state reports.  We take pride in these consistently superior outcomes attributable to the highest level of technical expertise and competence delivered to each patient by our entire team.

Adult cardiac surgery is the most studied surgical subspecialty with a long history of carefully documented results allowing incredible improvement in our performance and enabling the patient to make clearly informed decisions about their care. We proudly present some of our results below and encourage all patients to carefully review the outcomes of any procedure with the team they are going to work with.

Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Repair
Our hospital survival rate following minimally invasive mitral valve repair is 100%. Our rate of stroke is 0%. The occurrence of a wound infection has been 0%. One hundred percent of the patient’s having a Minimally Invasive Mitral Repair by our group have had a successful repair-none required an artificial valve replacement.

Mitral Valve Repair
We have had similar outcomes following mitral valve repair using a sternal chest incision. In this sternotomy group 100% of patients have survived to be discharged from the hospital with a 0% death rateover the last 9 years (Dr McCullough’s personal series).

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
The group at Englewood Cardiac Surgery Associates had 0% mortality (rate of dying) or a 100% survival rate after bypass surgery in the state of New Jersey as documented in the most recent state report.
